Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: From the airport to your hotel
On arrival, meet the driver guide who will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Nairobi city. Relax at the hotel, enjoy dinner, and spend the night as you prepare for the safari.
Day 2: Pick up and travel to Maasai Mara Reserve
After breakfast, begin your journey to Maasai Mara National Reserve in Narok County. This 6-hour road trip includes a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for photos.
Continue to your safari camp or lodge and check in.
Day 3-4: Game drives (including wildebeest migration)
Spend two full days on guided game drives to explore Maasai Mara. Look out for the Big Five, antelopes, and many other animals.
You will also have a chance to witness the wildebeest migration if the timing is right.
Day 5: Maasai Mara to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania
After breakfast, pack your bags and start the drive to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. You will cross the border at Isebania and continue to your lodge or safari camp in the northern part of Serengeti.
Day 6: Full-day tour in Serengeti
Enjoy a full-day game drive in Serengeti with an experienced guide. This park is one of the largest in Africa and is famous for large numbers of animals.
You will see the Big Five – buffaloes, rhinos, lions, elephants, and leopards – plus wildebeests, zebras, and more.
Day 7: Fly from Serengeti to Zanzibar
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. On arrival at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, meet the driver guide and transfer to your booked hotel or lodge.
Day 8: Explore Stone Town and Spice Tour
After breakfast, take a tour of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Old Slave Market, the Anglican Church, the city market, and other historical places.
Later, visit a spice plantation to learn about and taste the different spices grown in Zanzibar.
Day 9: Visit Jozani Forest, Chwaka Bay Park, and Paje Beach
Have breakfast and go for a guided walk in Jozani Forest to see the Zanzibar red colobus monkeys, which are only found here. You will also see different bird species like the mouse-colored sunbird, black-bellied starling, Fischer’s turaco, brown-headed parrot, and Zanzibar red bishop.
After the forest visit, head to Paje Beach for swimming and relaxation. You can also enjoy optional activities like kite surfing or sailing.
Day 10: Departure
