Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and overnight stay in Nairobi
When you arrive, our company representative will meet you at the airport. They will greet you, give you a briefing about the safari, and transfer you to your hotel in Nairobi.
Depending on your arrival time, you will check in, have dinner, and rest overnight.
Day 2: City tour and transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
Wake up, have breakfast, and enjoy a short city tour of Nairobi. Visit the Nairobi Museum, Maasai markets, and craft shops where you can buy souvenirs. Later, travel to Lake Nakuru National Park.
Stop for lunch along the way, then check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Full day game drive in Lake Nakuru
Start early with a morning game drive when animals are most active. Look for lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, zebras, hyenas, and many birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relax by the pool.
In the afternoon, visit the lake shore where you can see large groups of flamingos, hippos, crocodiles, and other wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Game drive and transfer to Masai Mara
After breakfast, take an early game drive to spot any animals you may have missed. Check out of the lodge and head out of the park with a picnic lunch at a scenic spot.
Arrive at Maasai Mara Reserve in the late afternoon, check in to your lodge, relax, and spend the night.
Day 5-6: Full day game drives in Maasai Mara
Spend two days exploring Maasai Mara. You will see lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, rhinos, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, hyenas, birds, antelopes, cheetahs, jackals, and vultures.
Watch the migration of wildebeests and zebras as they cross the Mara River during the dry season. Enjoy picnic lunches and visit scenic spots for photos and videos.
Day 7: Fly to Amboseli National Park
Wake up early, have breakfast, and check out of the lodge. You may choose to take a morning game drive before your flight. Fly to Amboseli National Park (about one hour).
Arrive in the evening, have lunch, relax at the lodge, then enjoy dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Full day game drive in Amboseli National Park
Amboseli is famous for elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, dik-dik, and over 600 bird species such as Klaas’s cuckoo, African spoonbill, superb starling, and common swift.
Spend the day on game drives and enjoy the views. In the afternoon, have a picnic lunch near Lake Amboseli (also called Empusel) and watch animals come to drink or swim.
You may see lions hunting near the water. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Fly to Diani Beach
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer to a nearby airstrip. Fly to Diani Beach where a driver will meet you and take you to your hotel.
Check in, have lunch, and enjoy an evening walk on the white sand beach. Relax with dinner by the beach or on your balcony.
Day 11: Full day exploring Diani Beach
Wake up early and have breakfast by the Indian Ocean. Spend the day snorkeling, swimming, taking boat cruises, and playing beach games. Lunch will be served on the beach.
Day 12: Transfer to Ukunda airstrip and fly to Zanzibar, Tanzania
Have a relaxed breakfast, check out, and transfer to Ukunda Airport. Fly to Zanzibar. Arrive in the evening, check in to your lodge, take a walk on the white sand beach, then enjoy dinner and overnight.
Day 13-14: Full days exploring Zanzibar Island
Spend two days enjoying activities like swimming with dolphins, snorkeling, and visiting Stone Town. Stone Town shows the old architecture from Arab, European, Indian, and African cultures.
Take a boat cruise to learn about the history of the slave trade.
Day 15: Transfer to Arusha and departure
Have breakfast, then transfer to Zanzibar airport. Board your flight to Tanzania mainland for more safaris or to your home country.
