21 Days Kenya Tanzania Safari is a special holiday that lets you explore the hidden treasures of both countries. This safari takes you to the most popular National Parks in Kenya and Tanzania.
You will also meet the Maasai people, who have a unique history, traditions, and dances, and they will share their culture with you.
You will visit Nairobi National Park, Aberdare National Park, Lake Nakuru, Naivasha, Maasai Mara National Reserve, and Amboseli National Park in Kenya.
Then you will cross into Tanzania to see Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater National Reserve, Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, and Zanzibar beach.
Each park has its own special wildlife, birds, plants, views, and land. The safari starts in Kenya and ends in Tanzania.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Nairobi National Park and game drive
Upon arrival, our driver guide will welcome you to Kenya. He will greet you, explain the safari plan, and then drive you to Nairobi National Park, less than an hour from Nairobi city.
You will check in at the lodge, have lunch, and go for an evening game drive. Here you will see lions, leopards, giraffes, gazelles, antelopes, blue wildebeests, plains zebras, and other wildlife.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Aberdare National Park
In the morning, enjoy a good breakfast and a game drive. See how animals start their day looking for fresh grass and how night animals finish their duties.
Return to the lodge, have breakfast, and check out. Drive to Aberdare National Park, arrive at lunchtime, check in, have lunch, and go for an evening game drive.
Look out for elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions, antelopes, impalas, hartebeests, and other animals. Return for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Game drive and transfer to Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, go on a morning game drive in the park. Return to the lodge, check out, and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive in the afternoon, check in, and relax while lunch is prepared.
After lunch, go for a game drive looking for black and white rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions, spotted hyenas, and many birds. Return for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Game drive and transfer to Naivasha
Early in the morning, before breakfast, go for a game drive to see animals starting their day. Enjoy the pink shores of Lake Nakuru filled with flamingos.
You may also see hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and water birds.
Return to the lodge for breakfast, check out, and drive to Lake Naivasha National Park. Arrive at lunchtime, check in, have lunch, and then enjoy a game drive and scenic views.
Lake Naivasha sits at the foot of Mount Longonot. You will see beautiful views of the mountain and nearby lakes Oloiden and Sonachi, a green crater lake. Return for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, enjoy a game drive to spot lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, zebras, birds, and the views of Mount Longonot. Return to the lodge, check out, and transfer to Maasai Mara.
Arrive around lunchtime, check in, have lunch, and go for an evening game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6 & 7: Full day game drives in Maasai Mara
Spend these two days exploring Maasai Mara. The park is famous for hosting the Big 9 animals, which include the Big 5 plus giraffes, cheetahs, hippos, and zebras.
See prides of lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, rhinos, and many other animals. The park is home to millions of wildebeests, gazelles, antelopes, impalas, hartebeests, topis, oribis, jackals, foxes, vultures, and more.
Watch the wildebeest and zebra migration crossing the Mara River. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the river while you watch the animals.
Visit many viewpoints and take photos of animals, birds, and landscapes.
Day 8: Game drive and fly to Amboseli National Park
Wake up early for a game drive to see animals you may have missed. Return to the lodge, check out, and fly to Amboseli. Arrive by lunchtime, check in, relax, and go for an evening game drive.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Full day game drive in Amboseli National Park
This will be a wonderful day to experience Amboseli’s wildlife. Spot herds of elephants, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, lions, wild dogs, hyraxes, dik-diks, lesser kudus, zebras, gazelles, antelopes, hartebeests, and over 600 bird species.
Enjoy a picnic lunch near Lake Amboseli and watch hippos, crocodiles, water birds, plants, and the beautiful scenery. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Transfer to Nairobi for flight to Arusha, Tanzania
After breakfast, check out and drive to Nairobi. Have lunch in Nairobi, then fly to Arusha, Tanzania. Meet your Tanzanian guide who will welcome you, explain the safari plan in Tanzania, and take you to your hotel for dinner and overnight as you adjust to the new climate.
Day 11: Transfer to Tarangire National Park for game drive
Drive to Tarangire National Park in the Maasai steppe of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in the afternoon, check in, have lunch, and go for an evening game drive.
Tarangire has the largest elephant population in Tanzania and many other animals like giraffes, buffaloes, hartebeests, topis, antelopes, hyraxes, and dik-diks. Return for dinner and overnight.
Day 12: Game drive and transfer to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, load your luggage, check out, and go for a morning game drive as you leave Tarangire. See lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, elands, oribis, and more.
Arrive at Serengeti National Park at lunchtime, check in, have lunch, and go for an evening game drive. Spot wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, warthogs, and others.
Return for dinner and overnight.
Day 13: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, check out and transfer within Serengeti. Arrive at the endless plains filled with many animals, plants, and birds.
Check in, have lunch, and go for an evening game drive to see buffaloes, elephants, rhinos, zebras, gazelles, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, and more. Return for dinner and overnight.
Day 14: Full day game drive in Serengeti National Park
Spend the day in Tanzania’s most visited park. Serengeti is home to the Big 5: lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, and rhinos.
See giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, wildebeests, gazelles, antelopes, impalas, and many birds like water thick-knee, Hildebrandt’s starling, red-necked spurfowl, grey-crested helmetshrike, and red-faced crombec.
Watch the wildebeest and zebra migration crossing the Grumeti River, attracting lions, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, and scavengers.
Visit different kopjes, enjoy a picnic lunch, and explore many wildlife spots.
Day 16: Game drive and transfer to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, go for a morning game drive looking for animals you may have missed. See wildebeests giving birth, zebras in herds, elephants, and rhinos.
Enjoy the vast plains. Check out and transfer to Ngorongoro Crater. Arrive in the evening, go for a short game drive, and rest at your lodge.
Day 17: Game drive and transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, explore Ngorongoro Crater. See lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, rhinos, and other wildlife. Hike to the crater rim for a great view, then descend 600 meters to see hippos, elephants, and buffaloes near the crater shores.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at the rim, then drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Arrive in the evening, check in, have dinner, and overnight.
Day 18: Game drive and transfer to Arusha for flight to Zanzibar
Wake early for a game drive in Lake Manyara. This is the only park in Tanzania where lions climb trees. See flamingos along the lake shores. Drive to Arusha with lunch on the way, then fly to Zanzibar.
Meet your driver in Zanzibar who will take you to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 19: Relaxation at the white sand beach
Wake up when you want, enjoy breakfast on your balcony, and spend time relaxing at the hotel. Walk along the white sand beach and enjoy the calm. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 20: Visit Prison Island and other activities
After breakfast, visit Prison Island and learn its history. Explore local markets. Enjoy snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, and a BBQ Zanzibar style.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 21: Fly out of Zanzibar. End of Safari
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Zanzibar airport for your international flight. This marks the end of your 21-Day Kenya Tanzania Safari.
