Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, our company representative will pick you up from the airport or your hotel in Nairobi. You will drive through a scenic route to Lake Nakuru National Park, a beautiful wildlife area located on the floor of the Great Rift Valley.
On the way, you will stop briefly at a viewpoint to enjoy the great views of the Great Rift Valley and take some photos. Then continue your journey to Lake Nakuru.
Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, go on a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is famous for the flamingos that gather on the alkaline lake, though their numbers have gone down over the years.
Still, many other birds are found here, including pelicans, cormorants, storks, ostriches, and herons.
You will also see other animals such as Rothschild’s giraffes, black and white rhinos (which are endangered), waterbucks, hippos, reedbucks, lions, buffalos, leopards, baboons, and many plains game. Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Naivasha
Before sunrise, go on a game drive to try to spot predators like leopards, lions, and hyenas hunting in the early morning. Enjoy the beautiful sunrise as the park wakes up. Return to your lodge or camp for breakfast.
After breakfast, leave Lake Nakuru with one last game drive as you head to Lake Naivasha, a fresh water lake.
On arrival, have lunch at your accommodation. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat safari on Lake Naivasha. You will see hippos swimming in the water, many bird species, and buffalos near the lake shore.
Later, visit Crescent Island for a guided walking safari in the sanctuary. You may see zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, waterbucks, and gazelles. Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Return to Nairobi
After breakfast in Naivasha, check out and prepare for your trip back to Nairobi. Your driver will drop you at your hotel or the airport for your flight home.
