Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Tsavo East National Park
On the first day, your safari driver will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Tsavo East National Park. The journey takes about six hours with a lunch stop at a scenic viewpoint.
After lunch, continue to the park, check in at the lodge, and then go for an evening game drive.
You will have chances to see the Big 5: lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, and rhinos. Return to the lodge late in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Game drive and transfer to Tsavo West
Wake up early, enjoy a good breakfast, and start a morning game drive when animals are most active. You may see herds of elephants, buffaloes, leopards, rhinos, zebras, gazelles, and cheetahs.
After the game drive, check out of your lodge at Tsavo East and drive to Tsavo West. Arrive in the afternoon, check in at the lodge, have lunch, and then go for an evening game drive.
Visit Mzima Springs, where you can see buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, and many birds. Enjoy the scenery until sunset, then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Game drive and transfer to Nairobi
On the last day, wake up early, have breakfast, and pack your luggage. Take a morning game drive as you leave the park. You might spot lions, leopards, buffaloes, and elephants near the baobab trees.
Drive back to Nairobi with a lunch stop along the way. Your driver will drop you at your hotel or the airport depending on your flight time. This marks the end of your safari.
