4-Day Samburu National Park Safari

Samburu National Park, also known as Samburu National Reserve, is one of East Africa’s popular destinations because of its unique wildlife species.

This park is located in the northern part of Kenya, along the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro River.

The 4 Days Samburu National Park Safari is designed to help you explore the beauty of Samburu. The park covers 165 square kilometers and is home to many animals, including the special five species: Somali ostriches, Grevy’s zebras, gerenuks, reticulated giraffes, and Beisa oryx.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Travel by car to Samburu National Reserve

Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in the morning, followed by a short briefing before starting the journey to Samburu National Reserve.

Travel through the northern semi-desert region in a comfortable 4×4 safari vehicle.

Arrive at the park early, check in at the lodge, and enjoy lunch. In the evening, head out for a game drive to begin exploring the park and spotting wildlife.

Day 2: Full-day game drives

After breakfast, set off for a full day of game drives. Carry packed lunch as you explore different areas of Samburu in search of animals like lions, gerenuks, giraffes, cheetahs, buffaloes, leopards, and more.

Take a break for lunch in the park, then continue with the afternoon game drive until evening. Return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Morning game drive and Samburu village visit

Start the day with another morning game drive in the park with your guide, who will share knowledge about the wildlife and the area.

Look out for Grevy’s zebras, Somali ostriches, Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffes, and gerenuks.

Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Samburu village to learn about the local culture, traditions, and way of life of the Samburu people.

Day 4: Departure

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Nairobi. As you drive, enjoy the views of the countryside and spot any animals along the way.

You will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport for your flight back home. This marks the end of your safari.
