Day 1: Pickup and Transfer to Serengeti National Park
On the first day, your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha, brief you about your safari, and start the journey to Serengeti National Park. Depart early in the morning, arrive at the park, check in at your lodge, have lunch, and head out for an evening game drive.
During the game drive, you will enjoy the wide open plains that seem to stretch until they meet the sky. Look out for cheetahs, wildebeests, gazelles, antelopes, impalas, topis, oribis, birds, and the Big Five, which are lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, and rhinos. After the game drive, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater
Wake up early, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, pick up your packed lunch, and drive to Ngorongoro Crater. This crater is the largest unbroken caldera in the world and is home to a large number of animals.
Expect to see elephants, black rhinos, buffaloes, lions, leopards, hyenas, jackals, vultures, and more. Enjoy your picnic lunch at the crater rim with a nice view of the plains below. Later, head to the lodge, check in, have dinner, and spend the night.
Day 3: Game Drive and Transfer to Arusha
On the last day, wake up early for breakfast, check out of the lodge, and go for a morning game drive. Explore the crater floor, which is home to elephants, buffaloes, leopards, black rhinos, and lions. You will also spot other animals like hippos, crocodiles, wildebeests, and various bird species.
Enjoy a picnic lunch before leaving the crater. Later, drive back to Arusha, arriving in the evening. Depending on your flight time, your driver will drop you off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your 3-day safari in Tanzania.
