Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park

On arrival in Arusha, meet your driver-guide who will brief you about the tour, the rules to follow, and what to expect at each destination. After the briefing and a refreshing glass of juice, start your journey to Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s top wildlife destinations.

The day begins with a short Arusha city tour to buy any needed items, then continue with a 4 to 6-hour scenic drive to Serengeti. Enjoy views of hills, plantations, and local villages along the way.

Arrive at the park in the evening with a slow drive toward the lodge, spotting some animals and enjoying the landscape. End the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Viewing in Serengeti

Leave the lodge early in the morning to catch the first sounds of the wild and spot early grazers and predators finishing their hunt. Expect to see any of the Big Five – lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffaloes – as well as zebras, giraffes, antelopes, warthogs, and more. Look out for birds like the kori bustard and flamingos.

The day includes a bush breakfast and a delicious lunch in the park. In the evening, enjoy a sunset drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater – Evening Hiking

After breakfast, check out and drive for 3 to 4 hours to Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest unbroken caldera, home to large numbers of animals, birds, and some primates.

There is an optional stop at Olduvai Gorge, a famous archaeological site with evidence of early human life and stone tools.

Arrive at the lodge around lunchtime and enjoy a good meal. In the afternoon, take a 2 to 3-hour hike at the top of the crater. This offers great photo opportunities and views of the crater below, while spotting some animals returning to their hideouts. Later, drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Game Drive and Departure

At around 6 am, leave the lodge for a 3 to 4-hour game drive inside the crater. Look for predators and prey including lions, buffaloes, elephants, rhinos, warthogs, cheetahs, antelope species, primates, birds, and various plants.

After the game drive, enjoy a bush breakfast, then return to the lodge for an early lunch. Later, drive to the airport for your flight to the next destination.
