Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Your safari driver will pick you up in Nairobi and welcome you with the Swahili word “Karibu.” He will give you a brief about the safari and then drive you to Masai Mara National Reserve.

Masai Mara is one of the largest protected areas in Kenya and is famous for the wildebeest migration. It is also home to the Maasai people, who can often be seen grazing their livestock inside the park.

On the way, stop at the Rift Valley escarpment viewpoint to take photos. Then continue to the reserve and head to your lodge for an evening game drive.

Day 2 and 3: Full day Masai Mara exploration

Spend these two days enjoying game drives across the wide plains. Your days will include special moments such as picnic lunches, watching the sunrise and sunset, and bush breakfasts.

On the drives, you will see many animals such as leopards, cheetahs, lions, rhinos, elephants, giraffes, hippos, zebras, wildebeests, crocodiles, elands, gazelles, buffaloes, and more.

You will enjoy the wildebeest migration, known as one of the world’s wonders. This is the highlight of the safari.

Picnic lunch will be served overlooking the Mara River, where you can watch the amazing migration of wildebeests and zebras crossing.

Predators often gather nearby, giving you a chance to see them hunting.

Day 4: Game drive and transfer back to Nairobi

Enjoy a final game drive in Masai Mara for about two hours. This is your farewell to the wildlife of the Maasai Mara.

After the drive, you will return to Nairobi to catch your flight home or continue to another safari, depending on your plan.
