Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Depart Arusha for Lake Manyara National Park
Meet your Tanzania driver-guide for pick up and transfer from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park, located at the base of the Great Rift Valley.
Arrive early and start a game drive to see wildlife such as tree-climbing lions, buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, elephants, and many birds including flamingos.
Day 2: Serengeti National Park – Big Five and wildebeest migration adventure
Drive to Serengeti National Park, one of Tanzania’s largest savanna parks covering 14,000 sq.km. It is home to many big cats and huge herds of wildebeests.
The park has wide open plains and is known for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and main visitor areas like Banagi, Seronera, and Grumeti.
Day 3: Full day safari in Serengeti
Wake up early, have breakfast, and then set off for morning and afternoon game drives. Explore the wildlife-rich Serengeti plains in a 4×4 vehicle with a pop-up roof that gives you great views of lions, rhinos, leopards, buffaloes, and many birds. If you visit between July and September, you may see the wildebeest migration.
Day 4: Visit Ngorongoro Crater to see more wildlife
Drive down into the 100 square mile Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing. This area has over 30,000 animals.
During the afternoon game drive, you may see leopards, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, lions, and many bird species.
Day 5: Depart from Ngorongoro to Arusha
Enjoy a relaxed cup of tea or coffee before being picked up by your driver-guide. Visit Mto wa Mbu village for a cultural experience where you can learn about the daily life of local people and have lunch.
After this, continue to Arusha Airport for your flight home. This ends your special Tanzania wildlife safari.
