Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
You will be picked up from the airport on arrival and transferred to your hotel after a short briefing. You have the option of taking a city tour to visit the national museum, local markets, religious sites, and art centers.
The driver guide will also assist you in getting anything you may need for the safari, like hats, batteries, rain jackets, and other items. After this, head to your hotel in Nairobi for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Masai Mara Reserve
Leave Nairobi in the morning and drive to Masai Mara, one of the most visited parks in Kenya and Africa. On the way, enjoy a stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint for photos.
Masai Mara is well known for the annual wildebeest migration from Serengeti National Park. You will also see lions, elephants, kudu, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, zebras, topis, gazelles, and impalas. Arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge, and spend the night there.
Day 3 & 4: Game drives in Masai Mara
Spend two full days exploring the savannah plains of Masai Mara through game drives. You will witness the wildebeest migration between July and October and spot wildlife like lions, cheetahs, leopards, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, rhinos, elephants, oryx, and gazelles.
Optional activities include visiting the Masai village, taking a hot air balloon ride, or going on a nature walk. You will enjoy picnic lunches, bush breakfasts, sunrise, and sunset moments during these days.
Day 5: Fly to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, take a flight from Masai Mara to Amboseli National Park, which lasts about two hours. Amboseli is famous for its large herds of elephants and great views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Check in at your lodge, relax, have lunch, and later go for an evening game drive across Amboseli plains. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Full-day game drive in Amboseli
Enjoy a full-day game drive in Amboseli National Park. Explore the savannah grasslands with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background.
Animals you are likely to see include elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, leopards, zebras, rhinos, lesser kudu, crocodiles, hippos, cheetahs, and wild dogs.
You may also witness special moments like animals giving birth, mating, or fighting. A picnic lunch will be served at one of the viewpoints.
Continue the game drive until evening, then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Return to Nairobi and departure
Have breakfast at the lodge, then drive back to Nairobi. On arrival, enjoy lunch before being dropped off at the airport or at your hotel depending on your flight schedule.
