Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park, enjoy a game drive
You will meet your Kenya safari guide at the hotel and get a briefing about the trip. Then, travel to Lake Nakuru National Park.
On the way, stop at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint for a clear view of the valley.
When you arrive at the park, check in at your lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided game drive through Lake Nakuru.
You will see animals like Rothschild giraffes, rhinos, pink flamingos, and many antelope. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Game drive and travel to Masai Mara
After breakfast, join the early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru with your guide. From your safari vehicle, look out for giraffes, rhinos, buffaloes, leopards, impalas, hyenas, waterbucks, and more.
After the game drive, travel to your camp or lodge in Masai Mara. On the way, watch for more wildlife. Spend the evening relaxing, dining, and resting at your lodge.
Day 3: Full day game viewing with a guide
Spend a full day exploring Masai Mara National Reserve with your experienced guide. In a 4×4 vehicle with a pop-up roof, watch for animals like buffaloes, leopards, lions, elephants, and rhinos.
If you visit between late June and September, you may see the great migration as millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles move in search of food and water.
One famous sight is the Mara River crossing where animals face large Nile crocodiles.
Enjoy a picnic lunch during the day and continue the afternoon game drive to see more wildlife.
Day 4: Return to Nairobi
Check out of your camp or lodge and go on a morning game drive. Look for early animals and any you may have missed before.
After this, start the six-hour drive back to Nairobi city.
