Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park from Arusha
Enjoy a good breakfast at your hotel in Arusha. Then start your trip to Lake Manyara National Park, a popular destination known for tree-climbing lions and large groups of flamingos.
Upon arrival, take a game drive to see animals like elephants, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, and both white and black rhinos.
After the game drive, head to your lodge for rest and overnight.
Day 2: Game drive and transfer to Serengeti National Park
Begin the day with another game drive in Lake Manyara. Afterward, travel to Serengeti National Park, one of Tanzania’s finest parks.
Serengeti is home to many wild animals and hosts the famous annual wildebeest migration from June to September.
You will arrive in the evening and check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 & 4: Full day exploration in Serengeti National Park
Spend two full days in Serengeti enjoying game drives that bring you close to different wildlife and wide-open plains.
In the Seronera area, you may see elephants, lions, cheetahs, crocodiles, buffaloes, rhinos, and wildebeests.
You will also enjoy picnic lunches, sunsets, and bush breakfasts. You can choose to take a hot air balloon ride on either day for a special view of the park.
Day 5: Transfer to Tarangire National Park
Drive to Tarangire National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Crater area where you can enjoy a short game drive.
Tarangire is named after the Tarangire River, a key water source for animals in the park.
Here, you will find many animals like wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, oryx, mongooses, buffaloes, rhinos, elephants, pythons, and antelopes.
Day 6: Full day game drive in Tarangire National Park
Spend a full day exploring Tarangire. Look for more animals such as wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, oryx, lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, rhinos, and elephants.
The Tarangire River is a great place to see many animals gathering to drink. You will also see how these animals live and interact with each other.
The game drive will continue until late evening before you return to the lodge.
Day 7: Check out and transfer to Arusha for your flight home
After breakfast, leave the park and drive back to Arusha. Here, you will catch your flight home, marking the end of your 7-day Tanzania wildlife safari.
